Career Summary

Stuart started playing golf in 1989 at the age of seventeen. Being an exceptional athlete at many sports through high school, Stuart remarkably progressed from a 23 handicap to a 1 handicap in only ten months. He successfully played amateur golf and won 4 tournaments in three years.

He made his first step into the professional ranks in Asia and played very well. On his first extended trip away from Australia, he never missed a cut in 16 events and finished inside the top twenty on the Order of Merit.

Gaining confidence in Asia, Stuart successfully qualified for the Australasian PGA Tour. Playing well and maintaining a tour card at the end of the year, he gained valuable experience traveling and playing in major tournaments along side of players such as Nick Faldo and Ian Woosman, both Major Champions.

After a few seasons and three wins, Stuart firmly set his eyes on the PGA Tour. He traveled to the United States and played in six mini-tour events, winning two and not finishing outside of the top five in the other four events. Stuart went on to qualify on the Canadian Tour and finished second in the first event. Unfortunately, he had to cut the tour short due to a death in the family.

Stuart met his wife Elizabeth in the United States and they currently make their home in Arlington, Texas.

He has maintained a scoring average better than 69.8 for the past five years, including a 68.5 average in 2006. With seven wins, including the Trump Million Dollar Invitational, and setting two course records in the seven years, including a career low 61 at the TPC Four Seasons in Dallas, Stuart has his eyes firmly set on his career goal of being a top 30 player on the PGA Tour.
